In 1998, along with fellow musician Jake Butler, Debbie helped to create something special that the Park Visitors could take home with them.  The result, "Cabin Fever", offers four original songs, (composed by Butler) with some folk, bluegrass and contemporary songs mixed in.

In 1999, Zinn performed on a second project, “Blue Ridge Nights”.  This collaboration consists of original material written by Butler.  The songs on this particular recording have a “classic country sound”, which is something that recent writers and artists have ventured away from; but is still preferred by many listeners of country music. 

Finally, in 2001, Debbie followed up on the requests of family and friends and completed her gospel project, "Message From the Past".  With help from the Hazel River Trio, (Jean Bailey, Faye Blair and Liz Shifflett), this recording features  hymns and gospel standards from long ago.

Debbie’s main performing venue is in Shenandoah National Park, but she has also performed at other locations in the northwestern part of Virginia.  In 1995, Zinn organized monthly Pickin’ Parties in Culpeper, which gives the local singers and musicians a chance to “hone” their musical talents and performing skills.  Since it’s beginning, it has grown to “standing room only” crowds and is a primary fundraising event for the local Fire Department.  She has also performed for 4-H events and music festivals throughout the region.
